Phil Laak considers himself running super hot after his ATV (all-terrain vehicle) accident – and he is proving it! Last week he claimed his first WSOP win at the event 1 of WSOPE in London. He took ?170,802!

Tony G has been missing in action recently so I thought it was time for an update. I have been busy with binging and business recently and haven’t played much poker since finishing runner up in the WPT London High Rollers.

It was a celebration of British Poker at the British Poker Awards. And a fitting time to celebrate. Brits set a record for non-American bracelets at the WSOP by taking home five bracelets plus untold more cashes.
We all have days we just can’t seem to lose. PartyPoker.com player Martin, from Denmark, had one of those days recently – and managed to turn it into a $50K payday thanks to our Jackpot STT promotion.
I’ve had a really fantastic time in England but tomorrow I jump on a plane and head back to California, leaving the remainder of the London Festival of Poker to my teammates on Team Party Poker.
It’s been over a week since my last blog post. Since then I’ve played in Partypoker’s World Poker Open – a rather forgettable experience – and the English Poker Open another unspectacular result. I’m not getting too irritated though, it’s basically been a run of unlucky situations.
