I’m back in France again after a short rest in England after playing at the Euro Finals of Poker in Paris. In my last blog I told you about the small cash I had in the 1k event. Over the next couple of days, I played their 2k event but frustratingly busted in 25th place (with only 20 getting paid).
I’ve been playing poker at the Aviation Club in Paris for the last week.
I think I may have had one too many pints of Guinness in Dublin at the WPT because I’ve really been paying for it this week. I spent some time in England, sniffly and croaky-throated, trying desperately to keep this cold/flu/laryngitis/ebola hybrid at bay, but it seems to have caught up with me anyway.

I’ve been invited to join the panel of judges for the European Poker Awards in Paris in January, held at the absolutely gorgeous Aviation Club de France. It’s a real honour and I was definitely surprised and happy to be asked. It feels like a big responsibility, so I’ll be considering the possible candidates carefully and trying to make the best possible decision. There are so many fantastic people up for awards that there won’t be any easy decisions!
We’re bringing the New Year in with style here at PartyPoker folks, and so for all of January 2012 you’ll be able to play multi-table tournaments and pay zero in rake.
